Nowadays, number of brain tumour patients, is increasing rapidly due to various reasons. If you are one of them diagnosed with brain tumour and you are desirous to get yourself checked up at PGI Chandigarh then you need to reach out to the Department of Neurology or the Department of Neurosurgery.

The treatment is done in the gamma knife centre PGI Chandigarh and the cost is somewhere around Rs 75000 to 80000, however, if you are an Ayushman Bharat Card Holder or HimCare Card Holder, treatment will go Free of Cost.
Therefore, if you wish to have yourself checked with any of these doctors then you need to get an OPD card on OPD Days of Neurosurgery i.e. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays as these days are dedicated for the patients of neuro surgery.
It is also advised that you must be referred by any government institute to the PGI Chandigarh. Only then you can get OPD card of department of neuro surgery directly.
Otherwise, if you directly visit OPD counters then you will have to get yourself registered with department of internal medicine and then they will refer your case to the department of neuro surgery, only then, your card of department of neuro surgery will be made.
