1. Na"Nagendra haraya Trilochanaya"

नागेन्द्रहाराय त्रिलोचनाय
भस्माङ्गरागाय महेश्वराय।
नित्याय शुद्धाय दिगम्बराय
तस्मै "न" काराय नमः शिवाय॥

Meaning: Salutations to the syllable "Na" of "Namah Shivaya",
Which represents Lord Shiva,
Who wears the king of serpents as a garland,
Who has three eyes,
Who is smeared with sacred ash,
Who is the great Lord,
Who is eternal, pure, and who wears the directions as His clothes (symbolizing detachment).


2. Ma"Mandakini Salila Chandana Charcitaya"

मन्दाकिनी सलिलचन्दनचर्चिताय
नन्दीश्वरप्रमथनाथमहेश्वराय।
मन्दारपुष्पबहुपुष्पसुपूजिताय
तस्मै "म" काराय नमः शिवाय॥

Meaning: Salutations to the syllable "Ma",
To the great Lord worshipped with waters from the Mandakini river and sandalwood paste,
To the master of Nandi and the hosts of spirits (Ganas),
To the Lord of Lords,
Who is adorned with divine flowers and deeply worshipped.


3. Shi"Shivaaya Gauri Vadanaabja Vrinda"

शिवाय गौरीवदनाब्जवृन्द
सूर्याय दक्षाध्वरनाशकाय।
श्रीनीलकण्ठाय वृषध्वजाय
तस्मै "शि" काराय नमः शिवाय॥

Meaning: Salutations to the syllable "Shi",
To Lord Shiva, the consort of Gauri (Parvati) with a lotus-like face,
Who is the destroyer of Daksha’s sacrifice,
Who has a blue throat (Neelakantha),
And whose emblem is the bull (Nandi).


4. Va"Vashishta Kumbhodbhava Gautamarya"

वसिष्ठकुम्भोद्भवगौतमार्य
मुनीन्द्रदेवार्चितशेखराय।
चन्द्रार्कवैश्वानरलोचनाय
तस्मै "व" काराय नमः शिवाय॥

Meaning: Salutations to the syllable "Va",
To the Lord worshipped by great sages like Vashishtha, Agastya, and Gautama,
And by the gods themselves,
To the one who wears the moon as his crown,
And whose eyes are the moon, sun, and fire.


5. Ya"Yagna Swaroopaya Jatadharaya"

यज्ञस्वरूपाय जटाधराय
पिनाकहस्ताय सनातनाय।
दिव्याय देवाय दिगम्बराय
तस्मै "य" काराय नमः शिवाय॥

Meaning: Salutations to the syllable "Ya",
To the embodiment of sacrifice (Yajna),
To the one with matted locks (Jata),
Who holds the mighty bow Pinaka,
Who is eternal and divine,
Who is sky-clad, symbolizing total renunciation.
